The writing and pacing – the wit of this character was crystal clear and that made the moments when she paused or took a beat very poignant.
What I didn't like
The moments when the character dropped her facade were very quick but powerful. If there was more time, would have liked to sit in those moments more and see more of her reasoning for that protective armor.
My overall impression
Funny, touching, and oh so New York. Dear Auntie B transports you to a timeless NYC apartment with a hilarious, eccentric host who is gracious and cutting, truthful and mysterious. Becca does an incredible job keeping the audience on their toes for the entirety of their visit.
