The performances from the entire cast were delightful and perfectly theatrical for this script. The two Goo Checkers did a great job of leading the show and keeping the show moving. Kyle Lehner as the Goo Ambassador left me in stitches from something as simple as eating a breadstick in the background of the action. Brought a Gary Busey energy that was incredibly welcome and inspired.
What I didn't like
The characters of Bianca and Margaret did not feel fully supported and understood by the script. Their interactions felt more like improv than a real planned moment in the show. There were also moments where it felt like we were getting stuck in the back and forth rather than volleying between the characters. Those moments really made you feel the runtime and could have been easily fixed with some cuts to keep it moving forward.
My overall impression
A campy romp with lots to enjoy. The goo checkers and particularly the goo ambassador were delightful to watch and carefully toed the line between outrageous comedy and grounded emotional moments. The spiraling monologue from Nick Collins as Jean-Paul near the end of the show was a particular standout moment.
