What I liked
The show was easily an attention grab, Goo Checkers Aaron Rutt and Devin O’Brien had PERFECT comedic timing, and the Goo Ambassador Kyle Lehner had Jim Carey level facial expressions.
Absolute powerhouse of a performance during a long monologue from Nick Collins as Jean-Paul, it was very impressive.
There were also so many well timed one liners from Amanda Lehan-Canto as Margaret, with amazing delivery.
Overall there were hardly any dull moments, and there was no way to guess what was going to happen next at any given time.
Phenomenal job from the whole team overall!
What I didn't like
There were a couple brief moments where it felt like the characters talked in circles a bit where the plot could have pushed forward a bit more, but the overall pace of the show was well kept, and there were never really any stops or breaks that would have caused them to lose the audience’s attention.
The goo feed spill gave me so much anxiety but it was SOOOO hilarious!
My overall impression
Goo Checkers is a hilarious and comedic sci-fi show that breaks reality long enough for suspension of disbelief to take over so you can properly understand the (very real) threat to humanity that is goo.
If you like SNL or Sketch comedy this is definitely for you!
