Moving, eloquent, heartbreaking, and beautiful. (Funny, too!) “Shadows of a Girl” feels like a poem, acted with great endurance, vulnerability, and aplomb by Lucinda Papia. A true family affair, the show is personal and also carried universal themes; “Shadows of a Girl” will surely resonate with all parents, grandparents, and their offspring.
What I didn't like
I loved the music and the lighting — I wonder how else the show could feel dynamic, textured, and immersive in service of Papia’s eloquent words and courageous performance.
