There is a writing technique called “stream of consciousness writing” where any and all thoughts are welcome and you get them down in your journal. Watching this show was like being shown Lucinda’s journal as she processes her grief. Thoughts and memories come in waves, and we are along for the ride. ...

Honestly, a great experience. To see Lucinda on stage is something to be admired. It all seems effortless as she spills her guts out on stage, but don’t think it’s all doom and gloom. She is funny and charismatic. She allows us to laugh with her and enjoy these stories and poems that are seamless - as she weaves in and out of grief and memories of happiness. She touches on poignant moments and heartfelt memories that we’ve all shared in one way or another with a loved one. The memories we all have with a loved one brings up many emotions and there’s something beautiful about how Lucinda gives us the ability to feel with her. What a beautiful and intimate portrait of a mother / daughter relationship. Add to the fact that Lucinda is being directed by her daughter Zoë, it is a special theatrical event to be a part of. The actress's matter-of-fact, yet heartfelt and profound storytelling allows you as the audience member to just be a witness to her life and the real pain of loving and losing a parent. It made me want to call my mom and remind her how much I love her. LOVED THIS PRODUCTION! Go see it!...

As the lights dimmed and Lucinda Papia entered the stage, I began to prepare myself for what I knew would be something special. And it was! Within a minute of her fabulous one-woman show, she had me in tears. And they didn’t stop. Nope, throughout her “touching”performance, I found myself needing a box of Kleenex, which I didn’t have in my possession at the time. Needless to say, I was caught up in her every emotion. Thankfully, she had interjected some humor throughout her riveting script. I found myself laughing quite loudly when she mentioned Wonder bread.
Her acting was sincere, genuine, and filled with a roller coaster ride of emotional recalls. Many times I found myself drawn into her personal memories, reflecting on my own childho...
