My overall impression
Ok, that was something!
I’ve known Buster Balloon Caldwell for years and have seen several different shows that he has starred in, written and produced. I have always been entertained by his acerbic and comedic wit, impressed by his attention to detail and astounded with his ability to connect with audiences of all ages. I have seen children squeal with delight during and after his library and family shows and seen adults split a gut laughing at his low-key comedy, magic and incredible balloon art.
This new show of Buster’s has all the trademarks of his usual shows. Yes, you’ll laugh, you’ll be amazed at his self proclaimed FAKE psychic ability and may even think he can read your mind, which is, I’ll admit, pretty impressive.
But in this unique performance, Buster does something I’ve never seen him do before. He bares his soul and opens himself up to the things that make him “Buster”.
Oh rest assured that if you attend this one of a kind performance, you WILL be entertained, but you also learn about some unique features of folks that are not, well I’ll just say it… “normal”. You’ll be taken inside the mind of a person that is wired just a little bit differently than most, and get a glimpse into how he perceives the world and some of the challenges that must be overcome to “fit in” to normal society.
And as a result, you may just be a little more patient and kinder to your fellow human beings after leaving his “standing ovation worthy” performance.
