What I liked

Storeytelling and staging.

What I didn't like

The play needs a more definitive ending.

My overall impression

GREAT AUNT ISLA CHRONICLES takes you on a journey through 20th Century America and shows women and their options and limitation imposed on them thru societal conventions. Compares choices her Aunt Isla had and compares it to the changes and similarities in current times and her own life’s journey. Using Aprons as a narrative devices, Tamara Zook, uses her story telling abilities to create memorable characters from her families past. A compelling piece of theater that combines, storytelling, choreography and imaginative staging to capture and hold the audience’s attention.
