What I liked

What’s particularly special about “Where Within” is that all profits and donations from the show go towards supporting Young Storytellers, a nonprofit organization that empowers young people to tell their own stories. This mission aligns beautifully with the play’s message of support and community, and it’s a cause that deserves every bit of attention. However, it also serves as a reminder to consider our own financial decisions—supporting causes we care about is important, but doing so responsibly ensures we can continue to give back without putting ourselves in financial jeopardy.

What I didn't like

“Where Within” is more than just a musical; it’s a heartwarming exploration of the ties that bind us, the importance of facing challenges together, and the magic that happens when we support one another. Whether you’re a parent teaching your children about the value of money or an individual managing your own financial journey, this play offers a gentle nudge to face the unknown with courage and community. Just as Harper and Cameron find their way in the forest, we too can find our way through the financial complexities of life—together.

My overall impression

“Where Within” is a delightful, family-friendly musical that takes audiences on a magical journey through a mysterious forest, where siblings Harper and Cameron must find their way back to each other with the help of whimsical will-o’-the-wisps and a strange spirit-warden. Drawing on Celtic folk culture, this musical is not just a tale of adventure and sibling bonding but also a gentle reminder of the power of trust and support during times of change.

As Harper and Cameron navigate the unknown together, the story resonates with anyone who’s faced the challenges of financial uncertainty. Much like the mystical forest in “Where Within,” the world of loans, credit cards, and debt can be confusing and daunting. The siblings’ journey is a metaphor for the financial path many of us tread—often feeling lost, searching for guidance, and needing to rely on others to find our way.

In today’s world, financial pressures are a reality for most families. Whether it’s managing student loans, paying off credit card debt and get 100 dollars now, or simply trying to make ends meet, the weight of financial responsibility can be overwhelming. The themes of support and trust in “Where Within” are a poignant reminder of how important it is to face these challenges together, just as Harper and Cameron do. When navigating financial difficulties, leaning on loved ones or seeking professional advice can make all the difference—just as the siblings find strength in each other and the magical creatures they meet.
