The humor and comedic timing amidst the story of love and loss. Her persona as the classic Jewish mother and daughter of Holocaust survivors. She had the ability to reach directly into my heart in such a gentle yet authentic manner.
What I didn't like
I honestly wouldn’t change a thing. The artful use of very few props to portray the many different roles was clever and masterful.
My overall impression
Ruth Brandt was masterful in this performance. She was raw and honest yet hilarious while telling a poignant story of a marriage and its spiral downward over the course of several years. The story is touching and completely relatable. Her self reflection and eventual conclusion was that it was all part of a master plan that brought her to her final destination; HAPPINESS and self love. A must see for all! BRAVO! I want more from this talented writer, actor and comedienne!
