Ruth’s humor, spirit, and sharp wit shined through. I found it relatable, interesting and well executed. Her use of visual props and photos helped weave more emotional and context into the overall narrative.
What I didn't like
It’s a good sign when the highest critique is “I want more!” I would love to hear even more about the divorce process, what their relationship is like today, and maybe the formative years of the divorce vs. where Ruth is now. 55 minutes is a tight timeline, so hope Ruth gets to extend it and fit in even more goodies!
My overall impression
Really enjoyed Happily Divorced! It was a perfect example of a lean, mean one woman machine. It’s raw without being too self involved, and had a great balance of seriousness and levity.
