What I liked
I loved witnessing the relationship between Jackie and his cousin. That vulnerability between men, both in the writing and between the actors, is something we don’t often see on the stage. They did an amazing job of opening up and dropping us into their world. I also appreciate the deep interplay of the ways in which addiction grips us be it addiction to substances, love or chaos. There was also some really well done fight choreo! And the music curation was ace.
What I didn't like
It could have been interesting to integrate the set changes somehow but that’s only if I’m splitting hairs and looking for criticism 😛
My overall impression
This production was lit with passion. It was clear that everyone on the team had a singular vision and they really found the heartbeat of the text. The writing, directing and acting came together to create a palpable and memorable piece of theater. Don’t miss it!
