My overall impression
This show takes you back in time to the soviet era. Mary is a brilliant actress. Poised and utterly in control of the room. Through watching her small acts, like asking someone for light or burning a letter, we exist completely in her world. The bleakness, the energy, the fear, we feel it all.
This show is brilliantly directed and lit, which all adds to the intensity.
