Nicole has written a play that is honest, brave, and necessary for our times. I appreciate that she made a point to highlight women’s struggles in WWII, as male supremacy over women is something oft ignored in today’s oppression discourse.
I hope she continues to create such insightful pieces, any topic, any medium. Theater is possibly the best place to showcase such an unflinching, honest piece like Legacy of War. In a world where people choose to see only black and white, this play allows the audience to see the multiple dimensions of inherited (and imposed) trauma and shame.
Brava, Nicole.
What I didn't like
No answer. Fringe shouldn’t have “What I didn’t like” in reviews, it’s rude.
My overall impression
Arguably one of the most vital plays of Hollywood Fringe 2024.
