What I liked
I loved the musical talents of Jimmy Berry on guitar/singing and playing Lori’s dog “Macy Pitt”. He gave Macy a voice and a very funny one at that. Also the Voiceovers of Brian Knudson playing all of the men in Lori’s life except for her dad. That was clever. Macy Pitt, her sweet doggie (who she rescued over a decade ago) would get on her feet when Jimmy would play his guitar. It clearly made her happy to hear him sing and play music.
There were a lot of funny and heartfelt moments in this show. I wish the entire production a successful run! God Bless you MACY PITT!!! You and Lori are surely soulmates!! So glad I met you both! Thank you for the wine and cheese after the show. That was fun! :)
What I didn't like
I wouldn’t mind 4 or so very sexy boyz dancing to disco during the transitions in the show. That would be fun! The show is about sex & adventures, male dancers would be the cherry on the top! Maybe when you take it to BROADWAY you could include that! Best wishes Lori, Macy, Jimmy, Brian and team with the show! Ew LA LA!!
My overall impression
Lori tells the tale of her relationships with mostly bad men. No one could live up to her dearly departed father who was clearly super important to Lori. It’s a cautionary tale of what life was like in the 80’s and 90’s in LA and New York and the way men could really mislead a woman simply looking for true love. This show is a raw and honest depiction of good and bad experiences and bittersweet emotions that she went thru but how she survived it all and turned out to be a strong, independent woman with a best friend named Macy Pitt!
