It was a complete joy to watch from beginning to end. The storyline took me on a relatable journey of life, love, lust, and discovery all seen through the eyes of the writer and POV of her dog, Macy portrayed by a musician. Additionally, I could tell the main character was enjoying herself which made me enjoy it all the more. Strategic lighting, projection images, and character portrayals were intentional and spot on!
What I didn't like
My only suggestion for the writer would be to bring her real dog, Macy, on stage at the end for that extra special feel-good feeling, which would knock it out of the park.
My overall impression
Lori O’Brien’s Cock Tales took me on a wild ride of emotions from the vulnerability she showed as she talked to her deceased dad for comfort and advice to the messes she got in and out of with each man crazier than the next and beyond with a sprinkling of light-hearted raw laughter throughout. A true relatable joy to watch.
