This show boasts an awesome concept and a talented cast. The use of projections to differentiate the locations and timelines was really effective. And though the subject matter deals with real crimes, the production takes care to center the humanity of the victims rather than the sordid details of the violence enacted upon them.
What I didn't like
I wanted more! The 55-minute version does its best to pack in a LOT of characters and exposition. It mostly succeeds, though at the expense of some character development. I would love to see a future, full-length production of this play.
My overall impression
In For A Penny is a wildly entertaining blend of sci-fi and true crime that left me wanting to know what’s next!
