Prior to seeing Kelly’s show, I’d seen Kelly tell stories around town & at The Moth — and even saw her win a Moth (!!) — and always in a masterful and engaging way, so I was not the least bit surprised that her one-person show was amazing, too (which is an understatement). Even though the subject matter may seem serious, the show provides the audience with plenty of laughs and honest, heartfelt moments. They say “attitude is everything,” and Kelly is proof! We not only see her resilience, positivity, & hope, but feel them — and she inspires us to make the most of life, too! Kelly manages to take a subject such as cancer and make us laugh with her on her journey. This storytelling show is funny, vulnerable, sometimes sad, and always earnest. I laughed and cried.
