Great acting and I really loved the staging. They used the stage very well and the chosen production design elements seemed thoughtful and sophisticated. I also liked the way the actors used the space and the round. Director Jessica Aquila Cymerman made great choices.
What I didn't like
I’ve never seen Hedda Gabler before so I wish I could compare to traditional versions of the script. All I know is this one worked!
My overall impression
The performances of this ensemble cast were great. Especially the title character of Hedda Gabler. Eden Perry made the character feel so real and true. She was so watchable & made being mean fun. And then Thea played by Kelsey Ann Wacker came on stage with her blonde curls and a perfect foil for Hedda! The Judge gave a refreshingly modern performance that also felt very real. And George’s sweetness was timeless.
