What I liked

I loved the graphics in the pre-show and throughout to constantly push and sell the products to “help”. The YMCA-esque stages poses was particularly fun, as was the overall tone. Something about the Australian of it all made it just that much more sunny and dystopian. I truly enjoyed that there was no audience interaction.

What I didn't like

I’d love to see more! The 45 minute offering was fantastic but I think it could be stretched to a full hour and I’d be interested in seeing the descent progress deeper for the e-pit-phany.

My overall impression

Grief Box is a candy-colored satire of the commodification of mourning. A skewering of late-stage captilaism’s approach to The Late. It’s part QVC, part CBT all GOOD.
