I want more! I think there is room to dive into the truthful moments of grief a bit more. These moments were so profound, I found myself wanting to stay there longer more before being pulled back into Adelaide’s humorous dismissal of her own grief. I am looking forward to future versions/productions of this show!
My overall impression
A beautifully hilarious and poignant one-woman show about working through the ebbs and flows of grief in a society where consumerism and capitalism overrules. What happens when grief doesn’t fit neatly into a pretty box? Kathleen is a force to be reckoned with. Her talent is remarkable and she captivates on stage with her wit, humor, and moments of devastating truth. I laughed, I cried, I related, I was thoroughly moved. I am still thinking about the show several hours later.
