What I liked
Excellent writing, and a sharp performance that is both hilarious and heartfelt. The tie-in marketing materials advertised before the show really helped set the scene.
What I didn't like
No notes, honestly.
My overall impression
Kathleen Leary (aka Dr. Adelaide Graves) will have you cry-laughing and then just cry-crying by the end of her demonstration. Grief Box is both a hilariously poignant examination of the messiness of loss, and a brilliant satire of self-help “experts” aiming to profit off of other people’s pain.
