Whereas so many pieces that deal with grief tend to wallow in the sadness, Grief Box finds the humor even in the most dire of situations. With a charismatic lead, witty script, tight direction, and creative production design, Grief Box is a one-of-a-kind solo show you won't want to miss.... full review

Kathleen Leary (aka Dr. Adelaide Graves) will have you cry-laughing and then just cry-crying by the end of her demonstration. Grief Box is both a hilariously poignant examination of the messiness of loss, and a brilliant satire of self-help "experts" aiming to profit off of other people's pain.... full review

This show is SO FUNNY and brilliant. You’re in for such a fun ride-it’s thoughtful, playful, and so sharp with its humor and sentiment. You can feel that it’s been crafted with so much vulnerability and honesty, which is why the belly laughs come easily and often. Our audience was loving every second of it. Do yourself a favor, it’s my favorite thing I’ve seen this year!!... full review

Grief Box is smart, it’s funny, it’s touching, it’s original. It’s really everything you want from a fringe show. Kathleen Leary delivers a performance that is equally moving and hilarious and the speed at which she can switch between the two will leave you impressed and delighted. I cannot recommend this show more! Go! I promise you’ll be glad you saw this one. ... full review

Absolutely loved it! It takes a big talent to make grief hilarious, and this show accomplishes that and so much more. The comedic timing was impeccable, the physical comedy was completely on point, and through all that it still has the emotional iq of a licensed therapist. You don't want to miss it!... full review

Grief Box is a one woman show that hits all the right notes. Kathleen Leary brilliantly blends humor and heart, turning her personal journey through loss into something hilariously relatable yet deeply moving. Her storytelling is sharp and witty, making you laugh out loud at the absurdities of the characters “mourning process” while also tearing up at the real and poignant moments. With a minimal set that lets her shine, this show is a perfect reminder that even in our darkest times, we can find light and laughter. It’s a must-see for anyone who’s experienced loss or just loves a good, heartfelt performance, not to mention a fabulous Aussie accent. ... full review
