A hilarious lampoon of the ways that capitalism latches onto even the most personal depths of our human experience. Kathleen Leary is so funny, and honest as she cracks open the inconveniences, horrors, and confusion of grieving, through the wildly enjoyable character of Adelaide Graves. Beautifully acted, wonderfully imagined in its design. See it if you can get a ticket! It's a hot ticket indeed!... full review

Grief Box was everything I love about theatre and storytelling. Kathleen transmutes personal pain into a hilarious, heart-felt healing journey for the collective. She commands the stage brilliantly, eliciting gut-busting laughter time and again before stabbing us in the hearts with her vulnerability and clarity of purpose. Bravo, bravo, bravo!... full review

Kathleen balances the hilarious with the heartfelt in a satirical solo show that made me reflect on how I deal with grief in my own life.... full review

Grief Box is a candy-colored satire of the commodification of mourning. A skewering of late-stage captilaism’s approach to The Late. It’s part QVC, part CBT all GOOD.... full review

A beautifully hilarious and poignant one-woman show about working through the ebbs and flows of grief in a society where consumerism and capitalism overrules. What happens when grief doesn't fit neatly into a pretty box? Kathleen is a force to be reckoned with. Her talent is remarkable and she captivates on stage with her wit, humor, and moments of devastating truth. I laughed, I cried, I related, I was thoroughly moved. I am still thinking about the show several hours later. ... full review

Grief Box is a total must-see, with a balance of humor and catharsis that was stunning to watch. Kathleen has done an incredible job of exploring grief through the lens of comedy without shying away from the very real darkness that can hide behind a happy face.... full review

Absolutely brilliant show! I am so glad that Kathleen and the creative team expanded this piece from a 10 minute play to a 45 minute show. I always love a show that can dance between hilarious and heartbreaking, and that is exactly what “Grief Box” does. It made me laugh and it also made me cry. Such a refreshing breath of air about a subject that most people tend to avoid. If it’s not already sold out, make sure you see this piece! You can thank me later. :)... full review
