The dance numbers were top tier and had the entire audience cheering. Music selection was giving vibes and TASTE.
The actors were invested, charismatic and having fun.
The writing, particularly the ending with the Pulp Fiction type full circle moment, was refreshing, entertaining and heart wrenching (there was a member in the audience I was talking to after the show who said it was his first time seeing a play and his mind was completely blown away this particular moment).
You can tell a lot of time, love and passion was invested into this project.
What I didn't like
The only difficult part of the show for me (and probably due to me sitting front row) is during the scenes that took place on the second story, I couldn’t see the actors faces who were sitting down due to the bannister blocking them. Fortunately, their performances were strong enough vocally and energetically that it didn’t take me out.
My overall impression
A well written, beautifully acted, high spirited, dancical/dramedy with a third act that had me constantly saying “oh whaaaaat??!” I can’t wait to see it again.
