What I liked
The fuckboy song that got the whole audience singing was my favorite part. I also loved seeing the different inner characters personified that we all have. They all spoke so much truth and represented our motivations. I loved the writing and the pacing including the off-steps to the mic to describe and justify why we do the sometimes questions things that we do, like going back to see a guy who we know is no good for us. My favorite line was something like, “You have to give yourself time to grieve it even if it didn’t happen in real life. It happened for you in your head and you have to honor that.”
What I didn't like
I wish more people could see this show. The marketing material might lead you to think it’s something other than the tender, funny show that it is. There was only about 30 seconds of feminist rage soap-boxing. I might re-title it, “Girl in Lust: a Feminine Exploration” or something that encapsulates the the romantic yearning throughout the piece.
My overall impression
A tender, vulnerable, very sexual, and funny show reflecting on modern situationship dynamics and how it really feels. It’s got singing and dancing and whole lot of the word fuck. Every moment was very relatable and honest.
