Avery is a spirited performer and she details her self-discovery exceptionally well. Like a TED-talk detailing how our brains support and betray us, this smart show is one that anyone can find relatable. Her story, a very specific one of her own sexual awakening, ends up having something for everyone.
What I didn't like
One little thing I noticed was that her two crushes had similar voices. Not sure if it was a directorial choice or a reality of who they were but may have enjoyed a bit more of a distinction between those two representations.
My overall impression
A thoughtful and self-aware exploration of sexual awakening, inner child work, and navigating connection with others. Well written, fun, and vulnerable, this solo show is a really special one.
