What I liked
Matt transported us back to a time that’s not so long ago, but feels so distant, when YouTube stars were bursting on the scene (but there were still few enough of them that you could have concentrated fan bases that would show up at a convention). Matt helps us to wrestle with the unintended consequences of the stories we tell, and what happens when our message gets taken away from us (and the sickening feeling when people you vehemently disagree with consider you a hero). Also, great integration of media throughout, despite being a preview, the timing and execution of the tech felt spot-on.
What I didn't like
While Matt regretted the content of the video they released, I wasn’t exactly sure that the content was factually inaccurate. I would have liked to have gotten to the bottom of what was really going on with the company in question (and maybe hear a little bit more interrogation of what it means to say something that is true, but will be weaponized in ways you abhor).
My overall impression
A wonderfully engaging, funny, and at times heart-wrenching one-man show. Highly recommended.
