I liked learning about this real woman in history through an up-beat musical ✨
What I didn't like
I was in the 2nd row and missed a noteable amount of the lyrics; the music was louder than the singing in many cases. So sad, because I want to hear every word!!
My overall impression
Everything about this show surprised me in the best way: the tight, clean staging of a massive cast, the hilarious fusion of modern musicality + 18th century inspired beats, and of course the, uh, logistics of Mary Toft’s rabbit-birthing. It’s abundantly evident that this show was created thoughtfully, rehearsed intentionally, and delivered oh-so professionally. You could have said we were off-Broadway and I’d believe you!
