Ventriloquism has a rich history with some incredible artists. What starts as seemingly an homage to the golden age of ventriloquism—when the art was at its peak popularity, slowly unravels as the performers expose the lesser-known and less favorable history of women in the art. They reveal the misconceptions held by society for centuries and shine a light on the accomplishments of women who took ventriloquism to new heights and mediums (including actual mediums!) that get overshadowed in the male-dominated field of show business. Featuring (obviously) ventriloquism and a host of magical creatures, this comedic and (despite its best efforts) informative show will leave you learning at least one new thing—even if it’s just one of the performer’s names.
