If you get there right at the beginning you you’ll be treated with a painting across the stage as each actor takes various poses with their partners not only explaining their relationship but the twists and turns of them. The show then seamlessly folds into the normal run with dialogue and for someone like me who came to the show with no prior context, I fully understood the plot and meaning. The added meaning and interpretation of the text shows its relevance to a modern society without feeling overbearing.

My overall impression
This retelling of Medea by Mariah Jordan is both detailed and concise, all the while staying true to the art form of theater. I knew nothing of the original story, yet Mariah was able to condense the entirety of the plot into a beautiful overture/movement pieces.
