What I liked
The portions with audience participation elevated this from a “simple” rote recitation to a truly mesmerizing display of Brett’s infectious passion for the game.
What I didn't like
Specifically re: the livestream of Friday’s performance, whether due to camera placement, lighting, or other technical limitations of the space, many of the projected images onscreen behind Brett were difficult to see clearly. This only slightly diminished an otherwise stellar performance.
My overall impression
Brett hits this one out of the park. After seeing this all-star line-up of trivia, nostalgia, and mental magic it’s impossible for any fan, old or new, to leave without a newfound love of the game and its players throughout the years – all of whom Brett could gladly name if he had more than just an hour.
