What I liked
Just about everything. Brett’s enthusiasm, the way he played with the audience, the way the audience played with him. And, of course, watching this human encyclopedia do his thing.
What I didn't like
I don’t know…I mean, when I saw it there was an entire Little League team in the audience trying to stump him. I can only hope your audience is full of Little Leaguers.
My overall impression
Wow. I went in skeptical because…come on…it’s a show about baseball. But it took about, oh, .5 seconds before a wide smile was plastered to my face and never went away.
BATTER UP is special. It’s a gem of a show and Brett’s enthusiasm is infectious. It’s SO MUCH FUN to watch Brett bring up audience members and have them try and stump him. It’s SO MUCH FUN to watch him rattle off baseball stats and stories.
Truly, a blast. I highly recommend this show.
