It was exciting to watch a musical that was fun and funny. One that knew exactly what it was trying to do, and did it perfectly. The performances were at excellent, especially the woman playing Sophia. Her voice and performance was great. But really all of the characters deserve high praise for a job well done. Dr. Pain singing Fifi, trust me.
What I didn't like
Casting was great, but there needs to be a wider vocal range in the cast. I don’t know if there were any baritones in the show, let alone a Bass, and while Sophia seemed to be a Soprano, she was singing at an alto. The female roles were all a little too close in vocal range as well and could use some separation.
My overall impression
This is the best performance running in the city of Los Anglels right now. Fun, funny, well acted with terrific performances and excellent Singing. A great original script and music, this story and the performers were a true delight!
