The cast is great, comedically and vocally. Some of the harmonies, especially in the Trio songs, are really killer and just scratched an itch in my musical loving brain. It’s very funny, very unique. It has a good sense of humor that pokes fun at superheroes as a concept without being insincere or snarky
What I didn't like
I think there was some missed opportunities with the framing device. No disservice to the performer, they’re wonderful, but I think it could have been staged in a more dynamic way that propelled the momentum between scenes a little better.
My overall impression
I thought this was really incredible. In a culture saturated with superhero media, this show presents a world where everyone has powers, and asks the question of what makes a real hero special. The music is great, the performers sound killer and are super funny, and the staging manages a lot of complex moving parts with relative ease.
