I couldn’t stop looking at Siena. She shined, and seeing an Indian shine this bright was so jarring to watch in a sphere where I never have. She is so brave. Rachel just knowing exactly what weirdness meant in the 12-year old version of piggy. The comic timing of the script as well as every actor working so smartly and freely to work with each other to make it flow. Ava’s poem was genius, not funny for the sake of it, funny as a result of the broader context and complexity of its meaning. Violet killed it as Stalin, but also just played Virginia in a way that I understood the flaws of her character so well (which is a hard thing to do in a protagonist). Sabrina is absolutely unapologetic in her silliness and has a voice that could start a revolution.
What I didn't like
well. just keep going, find a billionaire producer and keep going. Love.
My overall impression
Oh my God! The Chemistry of every actor in this ensemble piece with their own character, every other actor on stage, the writer, the directer, the Script! I mean I couldn’t stop reacting to everything going on on stage. Remy is a genius. It looked like she knew exactly where to say something and where to leave the actors. Not an ounce of self doubt in this whole production, which was stunning to watch in a group of absolutely wonderfully creative women.
