What I liked
Katelyn’s performance contains multitudes, such beautiful depth, such an absolute generosity in every moment of her performance. I loved the whimsy and deadly serious nature of the staging and puppetry, the script’s smart and heart-true dialogue (and you really feel the dialogue of the show, as if it weren’t just one incredibly adept artist embodying so many characters), the overall allegory multiplied by metaphor and long-divided by what felt like the exact phonemes of the playwright’s soul spun out into story, onto the stage. It was an honor to be there to witness this show.

My overall impression
This show is incredible. From start to finish, Katelyn absolutely captivates and transports audiences into a story world that feels dizzyingly strange yet eerily recognizable, like remembering the moment right before you were born, viscerally, emotionally, even physically. Feels like an ancient yet future tale, and I knew in my heart and bones that it was important, even as Katelyn spooled and spooned the story little by little, the puzzle pieces slipping into formation all at once in breathtaking moments. My heart felt restarted by this show, resuscitated and beating fast. Plus the bear puppet rules!
