What I liked
I am absolutely amazed by the puppet crafting and puppet work by Katelyn and her team. Incredible detail in the puppet itself and nuanced movement work using the beloved bear on stage. Writing was masterful. Acting was phenomenal. Just still in awe.
What I didn't like
More shows and more opportunities to see this profound work. All the flowers to Katelyn and the whole Murder Blood Bear Story team.
My overall impression
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. If you’d like to witness a master in storytelling, come see Katelyn in Murder Blood Bear Story Part 2. Weaving in and out characters seamlessly through voice and movement and so imaginatively painting such a clear picture of the worlds she was living in through her writing, puppet work, and acting, left be breathless. Katelyn so beautifully challenges the ideas of happiness allowing us to question at what lengths and sacrifice we may permit for this one emotion. It reminds us that it’s okay to celebrate the complexities of our human experience. Beautiful and powerful work.
