The writing is so thoughtful and clever. It kinda gave me Joe Pera vibes, in how it had a cozy atmosphere where you’re laughing and learning at the same time. Occasionally it rips that blanket of comfort away and tells you that the number one cause of death in Kodiak cubs is cannibalism, and that side of the show is great in a totally different way. Also loved the dances.
What I didn't like
I didn’t resonate as much with the “self-doubt voiceover” moments. The conclusion that they set up later lands though.
My overall impression
I’ve seen like a dozen fringe shows, and this is the one that I keep recommending the most. All week I’ve been reciting bear facts to anyone who will listen. CTAKB is sincere and unapologetically silly. I love it.
