What I liked
veronica puts her whole heart into the show and the entire audience can feel it as she holds us all in the palm of her hand. 💃🏾
What I didn't like
i mean, i have to believe we can do better than capitalism and that as humans we can truly care for each other and lift each other up and… oh, about the show, not this weird form of existence we invented? no, the show’s good.
My overall impression
through MEDICINE WOMAN, veronica manages to capture the pain and frustration of living in america 2024 — especially as an immigrant or outsider — while simultaneously reminding us what can be so beautiful about it all. oh, and she does it while making the entire audience laugh for an hour.
MEDICINE WOMAN genuinely reminded me of where the joy in life comes from when everything feels like it’s falling apart… it comes from the people around us, the connection. until we’re all living in that star trek future we all aspire to, come see veronica perform MEDICINE WOMAN.
