Back at Hollywood Fringe for a few nights only (since she’ll be 8 months pregnant in June)—after electrifying runs at Edinburgh, Adelaide, and Brighton Fringe—Medicine Woman, winner of the Best International Show at Hollywood Fringe 2024 (and recipient of the Adelaide and Italia Tour Ready Awards), returns to where it all began!
Veronica Osorio (Coen Bros., Soderbergh, CBS, Netflix, UCB Theater, The Elysian) is Medicine Woman, a sexy, sassy Venezuelan shamanic clown.
Medicine Woman, a mysterious healer who’s a migrant from Venezuela, is in town for one night only to conduct a shamanic healing ritual and heal whomever comes her way. The medicine she provides is never the same and depends on the night and the audience (she might channel an entity, sing ancient Y2K chants, dance with strangers, juggle, pull a tarot card or give you a kiss… or many kisses) until the audience is healed. Is this Venezuelan stranger a healer who holds the secrets of the universe, or is she a little rascal just trying to steal kisses from gorgeous strangers? And does it matter? Once you’re healed, you will understand that matter doesn’t really matter.
Clown, characters, part friendly gathering, part shamanic healing ritual—this is a total night out with your Venezuelan best friend who’s gone through a lot of shit and is, henceforth, qualified to heal you. Every night will be different, but with Medicine Woman being a Latina lover, there will always an element of falling mutually in love… WITH LIFE! That is, until she leaves for the next town.
