The story was bold and had range, moments of intense drama and some flourishes of humor.
This play was so well written, paced and performed. After the play ends the themes and emotions stay with you.
What I didn't like
A larger venue would add to the experience.
The only possible way to improve this wonderful play from a writing or performance standpoint would be to add one or two moments of humor.
My overall impression
What a great experience to see Bulger Boys at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. This solo play featured raw emotion and writing that echoed Mean Streets and Raging Bull.
Joe Coffey seamlessly moves from one character to another in a story he clearly identifies with.
