The actors committed to the Commedia dell’arte style of the play with great costumes and makeup to boot. The programs for the show were also quite cute!
What I didn't like
I would have loved to see some more physical characteristics (it doesnt have to be outrageous costumes but something to suggest more) of the animals they portrayed so that there is more of a distinction between them and the human characters they switch into halfway through the show. I also felt like the human characters were completely unnecessary and if we just focused on the misadventures of the three farm animals would have made for a stronger show.
My overall impression
True to its name, this play is a delightful romper in the style of Commedia dell’arte.
