What I liked
The writing of the play is really good, I love the story and the way is told. Kelvin was really good, he was present, genuine and followed his impulses. Every time he was on stage I was in the story with him.
What I didn't like
The play by its writing is amazing. If the actors live in the story and the moment the audience should leave in tears with all sorts of emotions! But in this case the actors were playing emotions all the time. The protagonist was angry all the time, the sister happy all the time, and when they “change emotion” it was more pushing than actually experiencing it, there were no nuances, no building to the moments. I understand they were doing their best, I just wish they played more objectives, actions, being present, not forcing the feeling, not trying to make the audience laugh and connect more so we could be emotionally invested. If they get more into it, I’m pretty sure it would be such an amazing performance to watch!
I hope this helps them, because there’s a lot of potential!
My overall impression
Good writing, performances could be way better to help the story!
