A talented and committed cast lead by Gabrielle Archambault. She skillfully conveys the character’s overwhelming physical pain as well as a window into the emotional, psychological, and social turmoil of PTST that most of us will never experience. The intimate setting, minimal set pieces, and nuanced lighting and sound immerse the audience in the depth of the story and the characters in her life.
What I didn't like
It’s irrelevant to discuss improvement when the cast is so committed.
My overall impression
Not having any advanced knowledge of the play, I found UGLYLIESTHEBONE to be a gripping and real study of a woman’s post-war PTSD experience. Eye-opening, mature, and sobering – brace yourself.
