What I liked
Liz’s showmanship and storytelling was compelling. And then add in the the magic tricks that had me exclaiming out loud–a truly one of a kind show that will be on my mind for some time. The clever way she wove the entire show together, through themes and callbacks and magic tricks, was a delight.
What I didn't like
Nothing to be improved imo! The show felt expert and tight, and from the top of the show, it felt like we were in expert hands with Liz. She included the audience on the ride in a really organic and thoughtful way, inviting us all into her world, for a truly communal experience (a rarity in 2024).
My overall impression
Magic for Animals is such an enthralling, funny, emotional, and ultimately meaningful ride. I’ve truly never seen a show quite like it, and hope to get to see it again soon.
