What I liked
The contrast between the naturalism of Ben Kassoy’s charming, sharp witted observations of the other human beings sharing the space with him and his dramatic, emotional expression is perfect. I wanted to watch this again and again. And I hope to see it adapted to the screen in the near future!
What I didn't like
Only to give Ben Kassoy’s enamoring performance more and more resources to reach larger and larger audiences.
My overall impression
Ben Kassoy is so alive and it made me feel more alive to watch him bring these beautiful poems to the stage. The movement elements and clear theatrical tone elevated this beyond a poetry reading. Kassoy is funny, authentic, and honest. A true pleasure to sit in this audience. I am so excited to see where this project will go!
