What I liked

I liked Serena’s authenticity; it felt very honest, as if she and I were the only ones and we were just talking to one another. I love the idea of an identity play being told through the media one grew up with and is surrounded by – I really got a sense of the disjointedness between the “real self” and the “projected self” and THEN how mental illness and neurodiversity factors into all of that. Great work!

What I didn't like

I think in a future version there should be even more interaction with the projections (and more projections!), though it’s highly impressive Serena squeezed that many in given the constraints of Fringe!!!

My overall impression

The show was so authentic and raw. Serena is a no BS performer, and I love that about her. Her humor, dry wit, and use of projections really elevated the show to another level. I really appreciated being let into her struggles with identity and how that’s represented in the omnipotent “media.”
