What I liked

Serena Anis really makes the audience feel like they’re part of the show. She lived up to the promise of her show and every single second of the show feels utterly authentic.

My overall impression

A delightful journey inside the hilarious, poignant, and fascinating brain of Serena Anis. Filled with pop culture references that will make millennials (and other generations) cackle with glee — the show is both a love letter to the 90s/early 2000s and a critique of its toxic beauty standards. “Me Be Me” is a testament to the principle that the more specific a story is, the more universal it becomes. Anis’ performance is grounded with an emotional depth that is absolutely stunning to watch. She immediately draws the audience in and delivers delightful surprises along the way that will leave audiences thoroughly entertained. I could spend an entire evening listening to Serena Anis’ take on life, pop culture, societal issues, and Bratz!!
