What I liked
The show is psychologically engaging in its empathetic exploration of masochistic kinks and where they often originate from. The subject matter may be racy, but the tone is not; there is a wholesome earnestness at the show’s core.
What I didn't like
The show goes on a scene or two too long and ends on a frustratingly obvious, “in case you didn’t get the message” note. A more abrupt, ambiguous ending would have added poignancy to the bittersweet nature of the story; the resolution felt a bit simplistic.
