What I liked
Beautiful and simple sets and props. Costume design (with lots of quick changes) was creative and furthered the story. Writing was extremely introspective and hit an excellent balance throughout.
What I didn't like
Transitions between prose and musical numbers could be smoothed out. Filipino accent definitely needs some work ;)
My overall impression
Beautifully done show that balances topics such as sexual assault, the immigrant experience, the parent-child dynamic, and how Jackie gains control of these traumas through self exploration and her own sexuality. But she does this masterfully with a sense of humor and with pacing that holds your attention all the way through.
